He is famous for his inventions and machines. He was born in 1136 in Cizre. He lived during the Artuqid period and worked as an engineer in a palace. From a young age, he was interested in science and mechanics. Al-Jazari designed many useful machines. He invented water clocks, automatic machines, and water-raising devices. His machines helped people in their daily lives. For example, his water systems made it easier to carry water. His most famous book is The Book of Knowledge of Ingenious Mechanical Devices. In this book, he explained his inventions with drawings. Thanks to this book, many people learned about engineering and mechanics. Al-Jazari changed the history of technology. Today, he is known as one of the pioneers of robotics because his ideas were very advanced for his time and influenced the development of modern machines and robots. He died in 1206 in Cizre.
